Don't lose leads you paid for: add a photo, direct number and SMS alerts
Three settings, a minute each. They decide whether your lead picks up, or calls you first.
- Add your photo: Agent Card settings →
- Add your direct number: Agent Card settings →
- Turn on SMS alerts: Delivery settings →
Here's what each one changes.
Your photo: the client sees your face before your call
Right after the client verifies their phone, they see your Agent Card on the confirmation page. That's the moment they find out who's going to call them.
With a photo, it's a person: your face, your name, your NPN and the state you're licensed in. Without one, it's a name next to two initials.

Use a clear, recent headshot: face the camera, plain background, the way you'd look on a video call with a client.
Your direct number: let the client reach you first
Your direct number shows on your Agent Card and in the email we send the client, under "Prefer not to wait?". Someone who asked for help a minute ago may call you before you call them. That's the warmest call you'll get.
Two rules make it work:
- Use a number you actually answer. A missed inbound call is a lost lead. If you can't pick up, have a voicemail with your name on it.
- Call from that same number. The client can save your contact in one tap. If they did, a call from the number on your card shows your name, not an unknown number.
SMS alerts: call while they're still holding the phone
A lead lands in your Writesure dashboard the moment the client verifies their phone. Right then they're holding the phone, they remember filling out the form and they're expecting a call.
Every minute after that works against you. In a widely cited Harvard Business Review study of more than a million online leads, firms that tried to reach a lead within an hour were nearly seven times as likely to get a real conversation with the decision maker as firms that waited just one hour longer, and over 60 times as likely as firms that waited a day or more. Email alerts get buried. An SMS reaches you wherever you are: your phone buzzes, you sit down, open the lead and call.
Which alert channel to use
- SMS: the one we recommend for everyone. Works on any phone, nothing to install.
- Telegram: if you already live in Telegram.
- Email: a record of every lead, but easy to miss as an alert.
- Webhook: sends each lead straight to your CRM or dialer.
If you only turn on one, make it SMS.
